Trip To Volendam
Volendam is known as one of the most wanted place for the tourist who visit The Netherlands. Every body want to visit this village. What can we see in Volendam?
Basically,Volendam is a fisherman village. But it was long time ago. At this time, Volendam is just a tourist destination village. You will find so many shops selling tourist stuffs. Most people who visit this village will try to get some photograph with traditional customes of the fisherman or farmer clothes.
You can also take cruise ship from Volendam to the other small island in the other side. That island is known as Marken. I will write about Marken in my other post later.
If you visit Volendam,don’t forget to eat fish snacks there such as Kibbeling, Lekkerbekje, Haring and others. The names are in Dutch language. You can get the fresh fish snacks in Volendam since it has a harbour there.
Other place around Volendam that you can visit is Cheese factory and Wooden shoes factory. Some of this tourist attraction are free entrance. They will explain you how to make cheese in general there. And you can also buy someof their cheese production there.
